At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.

March 13, 2020. That was our last day in the classroom. I don’t think any teacher predicted what was to come. We had three days to figure it all out. Below are some examples of how I adapted and kept myself entertained during the start of the global pandemic.

A sample introduction video for Reception/U.S. Pre-K. In this Unit, students were learning about fairytales. In Art class, students were creating puppets to tell our stories.

Ms. Ballesteros went on a cave adventure!

As the pandemic grew so did my technology skills.

Here are a few more examples. We were all learning how to be extremely flexible and used our skills as a teacher to meet the needs of our students ONLINE! Learning to use all the available resources provided for me helped me to better deliver high-quality instruction during this time.

This is a message and check in video with Year 5/U.S. Grade 4. Can you tell this is early in the pandemic? I was not as technology savvy yet!

Andy Goldsworthy lesson with Reception/U.S. Pre-K. I started using Screencastify as a tool to present lessons. More technology fun!
