PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Building our learning community takes time and preparation. Transitioning from online to in-person was difficult. The focus of my time here was the social and emotional learning of the children.

Title: Protest Posters

Aim: Students will be able to:

  1. research a social issue/cause that is important to them.

  2. plan and execute a protest poster supporting their idea using linocut techniques.

Enduring Understanding: People create and interact with objects, places, and design that define, shape, enhance and empower their lives.

Essential Questions:

  • How does learning about art help us to understand the world?

  • How do artists and designers create works of art or design that effectively communicate?
